Jai Sterling is a 42 year old, Native American of the Cherokee tribe. She has worked for XYZ Industries as an accountant for 5 years. She possesses an MBA degree and possesses over 20 years experience in the accounting field. Recently, her previous supervisor retired and a new supervisor, John Jones, was appointed in that position. John is a 28 year old white male who only has obtained an associates degree in accounting, though he is working on his bachelor's degree in accounting. Jai had also applied for the position, however was not awarded the promotion. During Jai's interview the vice president of the company asked her how her "little ones" were doing and stated the position would require much additional time than just the normal 8 am to 5 pm position she has now. He also said that "we need fresh, new blood around this place" and "you don't practice that peyote drinking stuff, do you?".
