Do you feel the ultimate "failure" of the French Revolution was due to their emphasis on the "general will" philosophy of Rousseau instead of the philosophy of 'individual rights" of John Locke, or do you feel that it's outcome was inevitable because of the international and domestic forces that were not present during the American Revolution?
