Do you feel insecure or lost without your cell phone? Does your car start with a remote, keyless entry device? Is your home protected by a security system that is linked to a local law enforcement office? These questions would not have even been relevant to everyday life as recently as two decades ago. When you think about it, there are probably at least another half a dozen recently invented technological devices that you depend on to get through a day in your life.
