Many have asked "what is a militia"? The Federalist Papers were written by James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and John Jay, respectively, the fourth President of the U.S., first Secretary of Treasury, and first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. These roles came long after the Federalist Papers because the Federalist Papers were written in order to convince the public to ratify the newly written United States Constitution.
Read (Federalist Paper) It is written in the dense, thoughtful English of the period and may take a few readings to get through. After reading, answer this: do you believe today's militias reflect the intent of Madison? Should militias be considered terrorists?
