Problem 1: If you were being punished for a crime, would you rather receive a year in prison or 50 lashes? Why do we not use corporal punishment for criminal offenders? Do you think we should? Why or why not? Are there situations in our justice system where victims or offenders are treated differently than others because of who they are?
