They are accountable for patient transportation and handling, proper drug and equipment handling, infection control, and personal safety precautions.
Similar to this, safety officers at fire departments play a crucial role in preserving a secure working environment for firefighters and managing dangers related to fighting fires and performing rescues. They are experts in fire-related safety measures, including dealing with structural fires, events involving hazardous materials, and technical rescue circumstances. While EMS organizations and fire departments may face different specific risks, protecting staff and the general public is still the overriding objective. For proactive risk management and protecting the safety of responders and those they serve, safety officers are in charge in both contexts.
