Reference at least one interesting point or question you noted as you watched Hillis' talk and relate to the three components of risk: likelihood, vulnerability, and consequence, if possible. Is this something emergency managers should be concerned about? Explain your answer.

Select a natural or human-caused hazard that can result in an emergency or disaster. Write a short description of ways -- tools and processes -- to monitor real-time for that hazard. Note if monitoring would be continuous, or if not, what would trigger the need for monitoring and when. (200 to 250 words)
