Assignment task: The "Body Farm"
Conducting death investigations can be a dirty business. The University of Tennessee has a forensic anthropology research center referred to as "The Body Farm." The link listed below will take you to a video about "The Body Farm." There are other videos available through YouTube if you care to watch them. Some of them are more graphic.
Your assignment this week is to watch the video and comment on "The Body Farm." Your paper should include, at a minimum, the following items:
1. Do you think that the work and research conducted at "The Body Farm" is valuable?
2. Do you think it is right for us to study human decomposition and decay in this manner?
3. Explain how knowledge of human decomposition can help an investigator with a case?
