Do plants placed under an environment drier than the habitat where they are used to living have a reduction or an increase in the time during which their stomata remain open?
If the plants from a moister region were transferred to a drier region probably their stomata would remain closed for a longer time, that is the time during which stomata are open will be reduced to lower the loss of water by transpiration.
