Dlw inc sells the next great thing which is a very

DLW, Inc sells the next great thing, which is a very expensive piece of wearable electronic equipment. Not that many people can afford it, but those who can also can afford to have “one of my people” call and sit on hold when they place an order. At all times DLW, Inc has two people answering the phone because calls come in from all over the world at a rate of about 12 per hour. It turns out that the order entry people who take the calls learn a lot during the first 15 calls, but after that, they don’t really improve much. Everyone quit last week in a dispute over the policy for stocking the snack cabinet; however, there were plenty of applicants for all three shifts, so DLW Inc is taking orders at all times of the day and night. Here are the average times (the times vary quite a bit) for the first 8 calls answered by a typical new worker: 8.9, 8.0, 6.8, 6.1, 5.7, 5.4, 5.1, 5.0 (all are minutes). As a long run average, how much time do you expect a customer to spend on hold when they call?
