You are required to write an essaythat presentsthe arguments for and against whether diversification has value in portfolio management.
Your essay will need to addressthe following points in your discussion:
Define what the value of diversification is. This is required to put your argument in context Present both the case for, and against, the value of diversification. Marks will be divided equally between the case for and against.
You will need to refer to academic and/or industryjournal articlesto back up your discussion. Marks will be awarded for in-depth research on both sides ofthe argument.
Based on the evidence in the literature, provide a detailed conclusion asto whether you believe that diversification hasvalue in portfolio management.
It is importantto be internally consistent in your essay and you will have to find constructive flaws in one side ofthe argumentto reach your conclusion.
There are manyfinance journalsthat you can reference. To help you identify relevant articles the following journals are of higher quality and are likely to be most relevant:

You do not need to refer to any articles from the above journals; I am just using them as a guide. There will be other journalsthat contain relevant articlestoo. You can also referto unpublished working papers. There is no minimum number of articles, but you need to ensure you are presenting a balanced argument.
