Starting on page 1-8 of FEMA's Comprehensive Preparedness Guide 101 is a discussion of planning considerations related to prevention, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation. These areas of focus are also DHS mission areas and differ slightly from long-standing emergency management phases of preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. Spend a few minutes reviewing pages 1-8 through 1-10 of CPG-101 and share your initial thoughts. Consider sharing any planning experiences you have been part of and whether or not it was related to the recommendations in the CPG.
