Discussion causation of the pdfa ad campaign

Problem: Although the Partnership for a Drug Free America had great intentions steering the youth away from drugs, it's questionable whether fear and intimidation alongside false information was the most effective strategy. Although several studies were done on measuring its effectiveness none of the studies stuck around, due to severe criticism. Quite the opposite, there was actually evidence that drug use has actually increased during this time period showed increases in the use of cocaine and heroin by urban youth and in the use of LSD by college students nationwide. The increase in drug use during this period isn't a causation of the PDFA ad campaign but questions its effectiveness, although it doesn't help when females in the 12-13 age group who did not use drugs indicated that the ads made them curious to try them after seeing these ads.
