Discussion based on law enforcement

Problem:

My name is Greg Denys, and I have been in law enforcement for the past 14 years.  Over the years, I have noticed the traumas that first responders go through, and how many do not seek counselling for their experiences.  Three years ago, I became a supervisor and realized the toll that this can take on people, and I started becoming interested in trying to help them.  Yesterday, I started this journey to becoming a mental health counselor with an interest in working with first responders when I retire.

I'm married with two boys, a four-year-old and one-year-old, so a majority of these posts will be done late at night and on the weekends.  My interests include playing with my boys, exercising, and overall health.  When I'm driving around, I enjoy listening to Podcasts and learning something new.

My learning objectives for this class revolve around how to become an ethical counselor.  I have realized through interacting with people during times of crises that the best approach is what is ethically best for the person, not what would make me or the person in crisis feel better. Knowing what the right things to do ethically in this field are very important to me. Need Assignment Help?

My question is to reply to Greg Denys.
