In therapeutic work, problem management is a structured way to help clients deal with their issues. It's basically a step-by-step approach where we figure out what's bothering someone, decide what they want to achieve, brainstorm ways to get there, try those ideas out, and then see how well they worked. Basically, i use this kind of system whenever i'm trying to fix something in my life. Like, if my phone breaks, i figure out what's wrong, decide if i want it fixed, look up ways to fix it or places to take it, actually do one of those things, and then see if it worked! It's just a way to tackle any kind of issue systematically.

I implemented it by identifying a problem (my phone breaking), setting a goal (getting it fixed), brainstorming solutions (looking up fixes or repair shops), taking action (doing one of those things), and then checking the outcome (seeing if it worked).

Helping people who've been in trouble with the law is kind of like fixing something that's broken. First, you need to really figure out what went wrong in the first place, not just what's on the surface. Then, the person themselves has to genuinely want to make things better. Once that desire is there, you connect them with the right kind of support, whether that's for jobs, housing, or just someone to talk to. It's a step-by-step process, helping them rebuild their lives, and you keep checking in to make sure the help is actually working and making a difference.
