Question 1: Read at least TWO current business periodicals or search online to find information about the latest court rulings on (pick one) benefits, affirmative action, accommodating disabilities, or other human resource issues. Summarize the findings. Is there a trend in these decisions? If so, what is it, and what will it mean for tomorrow's workforce?
Question 2: ABC company just opened a free daycare on their site for the children of its workers. Shelly has two children and is elated that she will no longer have to pay for childcare. That is going to save her hundreds of dollars every month. Amy does not have any children. She feels she deserves a raise of several hundred dollars a month because she cannot take advantage of this benefit. If a company provides employer-paid childcare services to workers with children, should those who don't have children or don't need childcare services be paid extra? Why or why not? Justify your response.
