Discussion about standardized intelligence tests

Problem: Current standardized intelligence tests (e.g. WAIS-IV) define intelligence through the following factors: 1) verbal comprehension 2) perceptual reasoning 3) working memory and 4) processing speed without consideration for any personal or cultural/contextual factors or differences. This is in contrast to Gardner's Eight Types of Intelligence. Which of the two approaches seem to be a more accurate assessment?  Why?
