These friends of mine had already planned on skipping school to go be with some other friends, who just happened to be boys. They told me about it the day of and because I was the one with a car, I had to go with them. This was the worst day of my life, because I couldn't tell them no and I definitely couldn't snitch. They had written letters to sign out and go to the doctor for all of us, even me.
Although I knew what we were doing was wrong and I honestly didn't want to do it, I went along with doing it anyway. This taught me a lesson as a young teen because that experience caused me a lot of mistrust from family members and the loss of a few friends.
Groups can be very influential, but I learned to stand up for what's right, even if it meant standing alone. To this day, if I do not agree with it, I will not do it.
