Problem: The two theories that made the familiar strange to me are conflict theory and functionalism. Conflict is how society compete for resources and is basically a power struggle with the upper class, the middle class, and the lower class or the rich and poor so to say. This leads to inequality and injustice and leads to revolutions and social movements. This makes the familiar strange because I think of this as a form of capitalism but it's not the same. Functionalism makes the familiar strange because it makes you think deeper on how society works or how it functions. It makes you question social norms and think and ask if people and certain things is done or work the same in every societies or is this only applies to specific cultures. And even makes me question how my life and the people around me function or operate. Is these questions structured systems or unorganized.
