Discussion about architecture of the egyptian time period

The architecture of the Egyptian time period is so elaborate it is its own art form. Each ceremonial or burial structure was careful thought out and made to last. Hence, why we can study them today. Compared to the houses the people lived in- or were believed to- they were feats that were by no means easy. The extravagant burials and paintings for their kings were representations of how much power and respect that each individual had. For example, The Great Pyrimads of Giza were constructed for Pharoah Khufu, we do not know much about his reign but the structure built for him shows us that he was respected and loved by the people enough for them to give him a whole pyrimad for the afterlife. The paintings on the walls of tombs and temples had a storytelling aspect that we don't see as much in modern art- I believe modern art is more for intereptation. They could tell the story of whomever's death, life, whatever it may be, it was well portrayed due to the new detail Egyptian artists used.
