Instructions: This is a group activity to prepare an 1200 to 1400 words report on Ratio analysis i.e calculating various ratios and interpreting the same. This will also involve an element of presentation by each student for assessment. Your essay should give a coherent and well supported answer to the question asked.
Assignment Questions -
Question 1: Define Ratio and discuss the different types of ratios.
Question 2: Select any company on your own and calculate any TWO ratios from each Liquidity, Profitability, Solvency for the years 2017-18 and 2018-19 and interpret the calculated ratios for the two years.
The students might obtain company's information and its Financial Statements from Muscat Securities Market (MSM).
