Discusses some of the emerging issues applicable to the use of technology by law enforcement to gather evidence, including using tracking devices; monitoring cell phone, email and text communications; and using drones for investigative purposes. Should there be limits on the use of this technology by law enforcement? If so, what should those limits be? If not, under what circumstances would the use of this technology be consistent with the Fourth Amendment? Finally, should the Third Party Doctrine established in the Miller case be abandoned in light of new technology?
