ASSIGNMENT:
Chapter 5 covered several improvement models (PDSA, RCI, FOCUS-PDCA, FADE, Lean and Six Sigma) that can be applied to healthcare organizations.
Find case study or research study that discusses application of one of these models in a healthcare setting and discuss the case. Did the organization actually see improvement?
What metrics did they use to evaluate improvement?
What worked well for the organization and what didn't? Do you think one of the other improvement models could have worked better for the organization you chose?
Be sure to include a reference to the article, case study or research study that you chose as well as references for any other sources you use for your discussion.
