In The Leadership Challenge, the authors use leadership characteristics to distinguish between leadership and management. Warren Bennis (1989) proposed the idea that managers administer while leaders innovate and managers focus on organizational structure while leaders focus on people.
Others argue leadership characteristics are nothing more than Great Man Theory and have no relationship to modern leadership theory. Do you agree or disagree? Discuss your interpretation of leadership and management.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
