The intent of this assignment is to get you thinking about you own personality, values, morals, self-esteem, emotional intelligence, perceptions, communication style will affect your success in a workplace environment.
For this project, answer, with as much detail as possible the following topics/questions. Use a separate paragraph(s) for each topic/question (so, you should have at least 7 paragraphs). Remember to double-space your paper and check for grammar, punctuation, and overall understandability.
1) Briefly discuss your desired work industry (e.g. fashion, accounting, criminal justice ...) and the position you want to have (e.g. CEO, designer, accountant...).
2) Take the Meyers-Briggs test and Holland's personality test and discuss how the results of these two personality tests will influence your behaviors in a workplace environment.
3) Discuss you own core values, morals, ethics, and integrity. How do you think this will play out in your behaviors when you are at work?
4) Discuss your attitudes (optimism/pessimism), your locus of control, your self-efficacy, and your self-esteem. How do you think these parts of your personality will play out in your behaviors when you are at work?
5) Discuss your emotional intelligence. How do you think this will play out in your behaviors when you are at work? (Make sure you discuss your ability to handle stress, conflict, and anger)
6) What is your communication style? How do you think this will play out in your ability to perform your desired role/position at work?
7) Reflect on what you wrote about in 2-6 and discuss how you might be able to improve on the areas that may challenge you at work.
You will be graded on the following:
Correctness: Are the concepts discussed and applied correctly?
Completeness: Are all seven topics/questions covered?
Thoroughness: Are there enough details, examples, and supporting evidence provided?
Writing: Is the paper free of grammatical, spelling, punctuation errors and does it read easily? Are paragraphs used to separated ideas?
