1. Discuss legitimate uses of ping sweeps and port scans. For example, assume you are in charge of a network with little to no documentation, a ping sweep and port scan may be necessary to discover what services are running on the network. What other situations might a ping sweep or port scan have legitimate uses?
2. Discuss which method of routing you prefer, static routes or dynamic routes. Briefly justify you choices. Then, consider extremely large networks that have thousands of routes. Does your preference change based on the scale of the network? At what point do you feel static routing for all connected routes become unmanageable?
