2. ()n the basis of reading The Anulects and The Heart of Chinese Poetry, discuss why Confucianism attaches great importance to poetry.
3. Discuss whether the basic theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (such as the Five Elements theory or the theory of qr) help you better appreciate the health of your body or mind.
4. On the basis of your academic knowledge as well as personal experience, discuss whether there is anything from traditional Chinese culture that can help address the major issues or problems facing our society today.
Your essay needs to be placed in an argumentative framework, in which you prove your point (i.e., thesis) by presenting an argument that is focused, coherent, and convincing.
The key to developing a powerful argument is analyzing evidence (such as primary texts, reference works, relevant facts, statistics, or personal experiences) on the basis of your independent critical thinking.
External reference should be used selectively and strategically, and excessive citation should be avoided.
Each source of external reference (used directly or indirectly) should be fully documented in a standard citation style (e.g., MLA/Chicago/APA).
Your essay needs to be free of misspellings, mispunctuations, grammatical errors, and stylistic irregularities.
