Problem
Much is made of how much the US spends on healthcare every year. However, this is a broad statement and can be misleading in many contexts. For example, as the attached article outlines, funding for public health is currently lacking and was cited as a reason for many of the struggles in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Read the article and discuss where you believe policy makers should devote more resources to better improve US health (e.g. HIV prevention, pre-natal programs, etc).
