Prompt 1:(1-2 parag)Bicultural Identity Integration (the concept that one can be fully integrated into two cultures) is a catalyst for creating greater acceptance among those who advocate for the assimilation of all races. BII has the potential to encourage individuals to value the acceptance of various cultures rather than wish them away. Specifically in a time where hate crimes and racial discrimination seem to be on the rise, demonstrating the scientifically-backed benefits of accepted two cultures is beneficial. By developing an understanding of the benefits that bicultural individual can bring to society (with their advanced cognitive processing), closed-minded individuals may begin to further appreciate the beauty of culture and diversity.
