Assignment: The Profession of Nursing
Write a 1000 to 1500 words paper addressing each of the following points. Be sure to completely answer all the questions for each bullet point. There should be two main sections, one for each bullet below. Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper.
I. Explore the history of nursing and choose two events/topics from history related to nursing (ie education, practices, important people, etc.) and explain each one in detail and why they are important to the nursing profession.
II. Research two professional nursing organizations and discuss the following for each organization chosen:
i. The name of the organization and why this organization is important to nursing
ii. What resources they provide to members
iii. Cost of membership and how many members are part of the organization
iv. Current issues the organization is working on
v. Finally, after researching this question answer in detail: Why are Professional Organizations in general important to nursing as a profession?
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
