Discuss underlying cause for neurochemical imbalance

Problem:

I see your point here about the racism John faces as being called "lazy" due to his ethnicity. Although John identifies as "Canadian", this could suggest a variety of different cultural backgrounds. A study which conducted a comparative analysis of two water pollution incidents found that Indigenous workers were described as "drunk, lazy, and helpless" when compared to white workers involved in a similar incident (Burns and Shor, 2021). This lead me to conduct some research into how this might affect an individuals biology. Researchers found that discrimination and racism lead to physiological dysregulation which was evidenced by nocturnal high blood pressure and sleep hyperarousal (Pichardo et al., 2021). These disturbances could definitely been associated with John's symptoms, as well as be an underlying cause for neurochemical imbalance.

Any thoughts?
