Discuss two forms of marketing research. Describe why they are used and why they are important.

Two forms of marketing research are Exploratory research and Descriptive research. Exploratory reusearch is away to collect primary information that will assist in figuring out the problem and coming up with a hypothesis for the problem. Descriptive research is describing the market potential for products in certain areas and learning about people who want to buy the product. These types of research are both important because they help aid marketers with marketing their product the proper way and figuring out how to sell the product to targeted consumers.

There are a few forms of marketing research. Exploratory research is to find informatio that will find a problem and suggest a solution. This is used to start a marketing plan and put something into place that will be both cost beneficial and provide excellent customer satisfaction. Then you have casual research which is the research that tests the guesses for cause and effect relationships. This is used to find which solution will work best in the given situation. As this is important to marketing because once the money is spent, we want to ensure that it was used the most efficient way and will gain the results we had hoped to earn.
