In the article, TV Treats Breast-Feeding as Comic Fodder (Pappas, 2016), we read an opinion based editorial on the media's depiction of breastfeeding. As I searched for resources that related breastfeeding to modern media, I found that many clips from movies or scenes from television shows often portrayed it in a comical way. There was a level of unseriousness to each clip that cast a strange light on the act. Upon reading the article by Pappas (2016), I had come to the realization that this is all too familiar of an occurrence through the media, a source that has a high impact on societal beliefs.
