It seems unlikely to me that one could answer any of these questions effectively in less than 150 words. On the other hand, I am not interested in how much you can write but rather in your ability to think and analyze.
Also, be sure to support your ideas and opinions with specific examples from and reference to the film.
1. Discuss this film in terms of the "dual purpose of art."
2. Discuss this film in terms of "the world created by the piece,"--focus on verisimilitude and believability.
3. Discuss the dramatic convention of "time" and "place" in this film.
4. Discuss the "conflict" in this film in terms of the type of "dramatic action, psychological/physical" and the "two basic dramatic questions."
5. Discuss the film in terms of how the Plot is developed. Are "plot devices" used to develop the plot? Are "character devices/traits" used to develop the plot? Is there a combination of the two? Explain by using specific examples to support your opinion.
