Discussion Post: Additional Theories That Guide Human Services Work
Theories and approaches emerge and fall in and out of favor and popularity. Some current popular theories/approaches in Human Services include trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based, restorative-justice, and others.
Select one and use the Webster Library article database to find an article (published within the last 5 years) related to that approach. Try to choose an article that interests you or is relevant to the population that you currently work with or hope to work with.
Summarize the theory and the article and discuss it's applicability to human services work. (250 words)
