There has been tremendous debate among policy makers concerning what to do with young people who commit serious and violent crimes. Much of the discussion considers the ability of the juvenile court to handle the most serious offenders or whether these offenders should be transferred to the adult court system. Discuss the various perspectives on adjudication and sentencing of young people who are involved in serious offenses.
