Discuss the three most important legal developments

Discuss below in a 1500 words:

After the assassination of President Lincoln, President John pursued a conciliatory plan to restore civil government in the former Confederate states. Congress, however pursued a more aggressive plan of Reconstruction, including the three Reconstruction Amendments (the 13th, 14th, and 15th), and important anti-racist legislation, such as a new Civil Rights Act in 1875. But over all, Reconstruction failed and ground to a halt. Explain in your view when reconstruction ended and why, and discuss the three most important legal developments (statutes or court decisions) that signaled the end of Reconstruction.
