1. Research sources that support the topic and sources of information that do not support the topic. No encyclopedia or other second-hand citations are permitted. All sources must be original.
2. DO NOT write a paper that reports/explains the selected topic. Instead, write at least 1500 words, excluding references and title page structured in the following manner:
• Introduction - spend no more than one paragraph (approximately 250 words) briefly defining and describing the topic.
• Discuss the three most credible sources found supporting the topic - Identify the author(s)/organizations/sponsors of the sources of information and discuss the evidence provided that supports the opinion in the source of information.
• Discuss the three most credible sources found that do not support the topic - Identify the author(s)/organizations/sponsors of the sources of information and discuss the evidence provided that supports the opinion in the source of information.
• Evaluate the scientific basis of the evidence previously discussed in view of the scientific method as well as the credibility of all sources of information. You must write at least 500 words on this section.
• You may, at the end of the paper, provide your personal opinion as to which position you support but you must explain why you valued one set of evidence over the other set of the evidence.
