The Texas Constitution strictly limits the amount of time allowed for the Texas Legislature to assemble and make laws. As such, this has left Texas open to much scrutiny regarding the limited government assistance and low level many government programs in Texas operate at. However, Texas continues to boast this limited government as a positive factor for state economic production and well being. For this assignment, provide your assessment regarding which side of the argument is more convincing. Should Texas extend the legislature's ability to meet and solve problems at a state level (potentially forcing higher taxes), or should Texas stay the course and keep the strict limitations on the State Legislature?
