Assignment: Rigths and Freedoms of the Constitution
Pick one of the rights in the first 10 Amendments. How is that right still relevant today? How has the interpretation of that right changed since the Bill of Rights was adopted? and Which one of the Amendments adopted after the Bill of Rights (that is Amendments 11 through 27) is most important to you? Why? Also, do you believe a new amendment should be added to the Constitution? If so, what is it and why is it important?
also, Prepare a reflection on the rights and freedoms guaranteed to you as an American citizen in the Bill of Rights. Include the below:
a) Discuss which freedom guaranteed to you in the First Amendment to the Constitution is most relevant to you personally.
b) Analyze and discuss the significance of the Bill of Rights and subsequent notable amendments to U.S. democracy.
c) Discuss the process for amending the Constitution. Is this a "fair" process? Explain.
