Problem: Discuss the role of pressure in the cardiovascular system.
You may approach the topic from an anatomical perspective or from a biomechanical perspective (in either case your essay should contain some anatomy and some physical science). Your essay should explain how the anatomical structures produce pressure, cope with pressure and regulate pressure.
Your essay could include a discussion of why auscultatory blood pressure is taken and what it means. You may wish to discuss why the right and left ventricles are different, why veins have valves and why blood flow in the capillaries is slow.
