Based upon the viewing of the Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room film, summarize your understanding the Enron Affair.
• Identify the role of chief executives, and staff specialists. Who was at fault and why?
• Discuss the role of moral philosophy and values (See Ferrell, Fraedrich, & Ferrell, 2017).
• Define Sarbanes Oxley (see multiple references from the text) and its relative effectiveness in preventing future Enrons.
• If you were a legislator, what would you recommend in terms of either regulations or penalties for what had occurred at Enron?
• Do you think the Sarbanes-Oxley Act goes far enough in preventing these types of fraud from occurring again? If so, indicate why or why not? Support your reasoning with references from credible sources.
