Many entities, from individuals to corporations to government organizations, conduct risk assessments. Identifying threats, assessing criticality levels, and recognizing vulnerabilities assist in risk planning. Unfortunately, reactive risk management has been the norm in the past. Advocates of proactive approaches are attempting to change that.
