Quantitative vs. Qualitative Data

• Quantitative Data is data that is in the form of numbers that can be measured using the nominal scale of measurement. Quantitative research generates numerical data or information that can be converted into numbers.

• Qualitative Data is non-numeric. Qualitative data is descriptive data that can be in the form of questions and interviews or observations research gathers information that is not in numerical form.
