Focusing on attachment and separation. Children need to build trust through attaching to family members, as well as others in their lives, however, as always, the balance needed for attachment varies from family to family. Separation, children learning to successfully separate from their family members, learning to understand they will be reunited, again varies from family to family and often child to child.
With that in mind, choose one of the following videos to view and discuss the power of separation and attachment. Feel free to also include information from textbooks or other scholarly sources. Linking your insights and experiences to the scholarly sources (literature) always raises the scholarly tone of your writing.
