o Discuss the patho-physiologic changes that occur in the airway of a child undergoing an asthma attack.
o State the three most common triggers for a child which will an induce an asthma attack.
o Create a table discussing the four classifications of asthma severity in children.
o Discuss the difference between a quick acting medication versus a long-term medication in the treatment of pediatric asthma. What effect does each medication have on the lungs? Describe a scenario when a patient would use a short acting medication. Describe a second scenario when a patient would use a long acting medication.
