Create a 5-6 page research paper that will be based on one of the historical themes presented throughout the textbook (The History of Florida, Edited by Michael Gannon University Press of Florida) from prehistory to the end of the Civil War and must be 5-6 pages in length about 1500-1800 words excluding title and reference page.
Some ideas you might consider for your paper are pre-contact Native American life and culture; Spanish settlement and occupation; Spanish relations with Native Americans; Spanish Missions; British rule of Florida; Second Spanish period; Role of slaves in Florida; U.S. Territorial administration; the Seminole Wars; Florida's role in the Civil War.
