Since the election of President Donald Trump, there has been many discussions on his leadership and communication styles. There are those who believe his style is effective, while others have been critical. Regardless of your political views it is important that your submission be respectful to the office of the presidency. As a student of leadership study, your assignment is to provide an objective analysis of the leadership style of President Trump using the material from the text and other research material to support your opinion.
o Define and discuss the importance of the following traits associated with leaders: intelligence, self-confidence, determination, integrity, and sociability. Do President Trump exhibit any of these traits? Provide credible examples to support your opinions.
o What are the "Big Five" personality factors? How do they affect one's leadership abilities and capabilities? Which factor(s) was most strongly associated with leadership? Discuss which of these personality traits are identifiable in President Trump. Provide example of how they have benefited or impacted him in a leadership context. (C-2)
o Define/describe emotional intelligence. How big of an impact do you think emotional intelligence has on helping people be successful? Do you believe that President Trump demonstrates emotional intelligence? Provide examples to support your opinion. (C2)
o Explain the key components of Mumford Skills Model. Use the Skills model to analyze President Trump's leadership effectiveness. Provide examples to support your analysis.
o Study the managerial (leadership) grid and explain which of the five major styles best defines President Trump's leadership style.
