PURPOSE:
Leadership is fundamental to a successful organization. How leaders lead is very different today - operations are spread out across large territory, and communication can be in real-time. Modern leaders delegate and entrust their people to execute, relying on relationships and guidance to build effective organizations.
The military is a complex, highly sophisticated organization that operates in complex, very dynamic situations. There are many lessons that can be applied in civilian organizations. I have found that this video resonates well with students whether or not they have served in the military.
