1. In Medea and Aeneid, compare and contrast the love conflicts, the sense of abandonment/or betrayal, and revenge/madness. You must consider the female characters Medea and Dido and their relationships with Jason and Aeneas. Both men made harsh, difficult moral choices at the end. Make a statement about the endings.
2. Discuss the exile themes/situation in Medea and Ramayana. There were two exile situations in Medea. How did those situations influence the plot development and outcome of each work?
3. Analyze the purpose of the journey of the characters in The Aeneid and Ramayana.
Concentrate on the sense of duty, obedience and loyalty aspect of both heroes. Was Dharma fulfilled? Was Aeneas' journey one of divine providence? Did the endings satisfy the gods' prophecies?
